Hi I’m Jessica Fung from Xi Class. I joined Beta Phi Delta in fall 2008. Starting my second year in college, I did not see myself joining a fraternity at all. However, my apartment-mate at that time brought me out to a rush event. I met the people and clicked with them. I came out to another rush event, thought why not, and just filled out an application. Joining Beta made my college career better. My closest friends are like family to me now—Beta actives and alumni are there for me through thick and thin. The person who was assigned my big brother has become one of my closest friends.
I have been very active in the 2+ years I have been in Beta Phi Delta. Having held 5 positions, I feel like Beta has helped me grow so much. It taught me how to manage my time, become more organized, and work well as a team. Now, as president, it has taught me so much about myself.
Beta Phi Delta has become my family away from home. I know I can always rely on my brothers and sisters for anything-and I have in the past. Our alumni network is very tight-knit. Many of our alumni still come out to our events and bond with the active members of Beta Phi Delta. Joining Beta Phi Delta has been the best decision I made in my college career.
